In addition to our core mission of donating essential medical equipment and supplies to hospitals and healthcare providers in Ghana and other regions of the world, Adopt A Hospital provides direct financial support for organized events that have an immediate impact on the quality of healthcare.
Adopt A Hospital in coordination with the Eastern Regional Hospital and Dr. Ransford Aduah recently held a free eye care clinic for children and adults in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Over a two–day period, local medical volunteers provided eye exams and eye care treatment to over 200 children and adults, all of whom were provided new eye glasses. Adopt A Hospital raised $2,500 in donations to cover 100% of the cost of this life changing event, and now more than 200 people can see more clearly with corrective eyewear. Adopt A Hospital would like to thank all of the local volunteers, the Youth Volunteers Organization, and SightShare for their heartfelt donation.

Adopt A Hospital sponsored a food drive to raise a 4-month supply of baby food ingredients for the the Children’s Ward at Eastern Regional Hospital. The pediatric nurses were also supplied blenders and essential items needed to properly prepare and administer the food to the children. Adopt A Hospital would like to thank all donors and the Lucy Beckham AAH chapter for their $500 donation. Our goal is to provide an on-going replenishment of this food supply with our next food drive beginning in July.
